The ShinRa Corporation, a corrupt corporate empire, keeps an iron grip on the Planets human being with its monpooly on all aspects of life. By draining the life-giving energy of the Palnet and distributing it as a cheap source of electricity, the ShinRa not only fatten their wallets, but are destroying the Planet as well. Becasue of this, a small rebel group known as Avalanche has taken it upon themselves to rise up against the ShinRa, and thwart their destructive plan. But a long-thought-to-be-dead ShinRa General now plots the destruction of both the ShinRa and the Planet by summoning the ultimate black magic, Meteor. In the face of adversity, Avalanche must now fight for the future of the Planet, all of humanity, and for their really own lives.
